They now have an exciting opportunity to join their Timaru warehouse in a varied and fast-paced role that is a vital cog in the team. The Operations Assistant plays an important part in ensuring customer orders are picked and shipped in a timely manner, as well as receiving products into the warehouse, making sure goods are correctly receipted, stored, and the warehouse is functioning efficiently.
Our ideal candidate will bring the following:
- Warehouse/stores experience
- Forklift licence and proven forklift operating experience
- Confident using computerised inventory systems
- Knowledge of stock taking processes
- Ability to use computers for data entry, navigating different systems, and sending and receiving emails
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Friendly and collaborative approach to team work
- A ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude to getting the job done
- Great time management, and works calmly to achieve daily deadlines
